You might want to call the airlines and ask about standby flights. Or try priceline, and name your own price.
2 :
Go to the airport and ask for a stand-by flight.
3 :
AirTran is cheapest at $109 total one/way nonstop flight IND-RSW (Ft. Myers International). http://www.airtran.com This for departure today or tomorrow.

Where is passenger pick up at Indianapolis International Airport
Where is passenger pick up at Indianapolis International Airport?
I need to pick someone up coming in on a Northwest flight. Where do I need to go? Is there curbside pick up, or do I need to park?

You can pick them up at the curb, but remember you cannot park and stay. But you can also park (its not expensive) and wait inside. Just go over by the escalator's and they will be coming down from there. If you have time to wait there is a food court that you can get something to eat and/or drink.

can i get into airport lounges for a domestic connection for an international flight
can i get into airport lounges for a domestic connection for an international flight?
i'm flying first class on northwest airlines, and when flying home, i'm flying from taipei -> tokyo -> detroit -> indianapolis. am i allowed to get into the airport lounge at detroit even though its a domestic flight?

Yes. The lounges are there to make money and serve you. They don't know or care about your flight details. They do care about your behavior, that you are of legal age, and about getting paid.
2 :
If all your flights are on Northwest or a partner airline you should have lounge access before each flight. It shouldn't matter whether it's a domestic or an international flight as long as you're flying 1st class all the way. That's one of the perks you get when you fly 1st or business class or are a very frequent flyer.

What nearby airports should I use if I'm trying to get from Indianapolis to Mannheim, Germany
What nearby airports should I use if I'm trying to get from Indianapolis to Mannheim, Germany?

ORD or CVG to Frankfurt will probably be the cheapest.
2 :
Dohop.com has a great map of airports. I you go there, input your airports, and click 'map' (just above the from box) you will see the airports you selected and can find bigger airports nearby. Dohop has great prices for international flights by the way, and also, if you want to search from multiple airports you can, just by entering a comma after the first one you put in. Long story short, Chicago O'Hare and Frankfurt might be good bets.

In my experience with AirTran and connector flights, I've only had one bag check-in. The baggage handlers will transfer your bags from plane to plane in Atlanta. I hope that helps :)

Arrival 2 hours before departure in Indianpolis is required for international check in as your passport information will be taken in Indianapolis and may be subject to re-check at the Philadelphia gate. This is US Airways suggestion.

How much would it cost for 2 people to take a trip to Indianapolis
How much would it cost for 2 people to take a trip to Indianapolis?
A hotel for about 3-4 nights A Rental Car 2 flight tickets and probably 200-300 dollars in spending and activity money. Please someone do the math for me. I want to take this trip in the next couple months. With my dad. THANKS!

Do you plan to stay in a $50 a night or a $500 a night hotel, where are you flying from, (that makes a difference in price of tickets), do you want a cheap small car or a full size car or SUV? I would suggest you do your own math, we can't and I'm not going to do it for you without being paid.
2 :
the best thing is easy for u to everything one thing is www.expedia .com they tell u everything what the total but rember go to hotel with breakfest incude the hotel the expdia have airline ,hotel, car the 200 to 300 is ok the best is 500 to 600 for one week to spendy
3 :
under 1000 will get you a car and a nice hotel and your plane trip have a blast
4 :
Without knowing where you are flying from it is impossible to estimate a price on airline tickets. Obviously, a price for two tickets from Boston, Massachusetts would be cheaper than the same destination flying from Bombay, India. Also, I would suspect that if your "next couple of months" takes place within the holiday season, the prices for everything would be higher than if they were outside of the holidays. Just throwing the dates of 11/1-11/5 into Travelocity, I get a lodging range of $37-$307 per night and a car rental range of $45-$101 per day. Adding in your spending money range (which may be low if it includes meals for both of you), I get somewhere between $446 and $1524 for a 3-4 night stay without counting round trip air fare and taxes for everything. Frankly, you need to research this trip with your own preferences defining your choices and do the math yourself based on those selections.

When should I book my flight to Las Vegas
When should I book my flight to Las Vegas?
I'm going to Vegas, flying out from Indianapolis Sunday August 2, and coming back to Indianapolis Thursday August 6. Hotel and shows are all booked so I'm locked into above dates. Airline prices seems much higher with bad times on arrivals and departures right now, compared to last October when I went to Las Vegas. Should I book the flight now or wait and keep checking daily for better rates?

I dont know, but i would have booked my flight first. I'm going to Vegas the end of September and my flight on Jet blue has been booked for over a month. There are still a few seats left. I hear if you wait till the last minute you can get some really great deals but why chance that since you went and booked everything else. I would book a flight now
3 :
you should try cheapair.com, im leaving for vegas tomorrow. thats where i got mine, i bought it like a week ago and it was only $90 one way. so try that site..
4 :
The best time to book a flight is 3 weeks before you want to go on a tuesday
5 :
A lot of airlines are cutting the numbers of flights so you had better book now or you may not get a flight at all. I booked my trip which is not until Aug. 31. I just checked and the flight is now sold out. Airlines are trying not to fly half empty planes. So the possiblity of last minute deals is pretty remote. The earlier the better. *
6 :
Unlike what several people said here, checking several sites will only get you the same prices. You will find one that looks a lot cheaper than the others then when you go to book it the fees of that site will actually take the price up to or over the others. Look at sites that give the fees up front in the prices. There is no flexibility in airfare anymore. What price the airline posts is the same no matter where you book. Best to do direct with the airline site to prevent hidden fees at the end. I would wait another month or two before booking. You can start looking but they usually don't drop ticket prices until 90 days before the flights. Then again some run super specials for a short period and you have to be prepared to book right then and there.
7 :
I am flying out of Indianapolis on September 6, but I already booked my airfare. I found a round trip ticket on Northwest for just over $200. What kind of times are you looking at? Southwest $279.20 this is the cost for all flights on those dates. Airtran is too expensive. Midwest Airlines $297.40 leaving 3:45pm returning 11:59pm Northwest from $229.19 with tax http://res.nwa.com/search/flight.nw?_flowExecutionKey=_cCBF29ADD-5AC7-AD89-F912-FCA33A5E0CF1_k8369BEE4-95C8-2199-DAC6-827727CFC2E7&AnalyticsResponse=com.orbitz.spring.interceptor.analytics.AnalyticsResponse%40194213a I hope this helps! Northwest seems to dominate the cheapest prices for your dates. With only 2 months until your trip, it is better to book the first flight that meets your price range. You never know when flight prices are going to go up, especially with the cost of fuel going up. It's also a good rule of thumb to book your airfare between 3 months and 1 month before your trip.

go on expedia.com for great fares and all the price choices
2 :
A couple of months before you go. Or a month before will help. I was looking at flights to go to Cali around mid-Feb just today. and the total including taxes and fees was about $243. And then just for the heck of it I searched mid marched and it almost totaled to $350. So yeah. Sometimes buying ahead isn't always the cheapest. And if you can.... go directly to the airline website and book it. The first time I tried cheapoair.com I was like OMFG it's so cheap. And I clicked on "book" just to see how much the total was and the taxes and fees was like $85 itself added to the total and it cost even more than the tickets that the airlines sold. I was so mad. I suggest expedia.com too.
3 :
by when is the best time, do you mean how long before you fly, should you book your flight? if that's the case , it totally depends on a lot of things, how busy the route is, how flexible you are with your travel days, what the price of fuel is ( jet fuel is going up so a lot of airlines are adding surcharges and raising rates because of it). there are some sites like yapta.com and fareminder.com, that track prices for you and let you know if they go up and down, i would say keep watching them and if you see something that looks like a great deal, buy it then. worst case if prices continue to go down , most airlines will credit you the difference if its more than a certain amount, usually $50. and even if it goes down a little after you buy it, at least you know you got a seat on the flight you wanted and didn't have to sweat not getting a ticket.
4 :
One thing to keep in mind is to purchase tickets for travel on weekdays. For some reason, they like to charge more for flights on weekends.
5 :
can try farecompare.com and check the "research cheapest airfares" box and daily fares will be displayed from which you can select the better one.
6 :
Hmmm.... what do you mean by "the best times"? The best time of day is early morning because that's when cheap seats are released back into the system after a ticketing deadline has passed.

I would say the best way to travel would be to take a taxi or rent a car if you would like to spend some money
2 :
Try to contact Stretch Limousine, Inc in Chicago. They have very reliable service between Chicago O'hara airport and Indianapolis in a town car for up to 3 passengers. Also, you can request a child seat for $5. Make sure you setup up your limo pick-up time early. With 200 miles, the estimated travel time between Indianapolis, Indiana and Chicago O'Hare airport can range between 3.5-4.5 hrs (depending on traffic, weather conditions, and exact location), etc.
3 :
http://stretchlimochicago.com/indiana-specials/Indianapolis.htm Now they offer rides between Indy and Ohare for $329. Renting is good, if you don't mind the one way fee (Enterprise.com) they have the discount codes if you use google them. Last, depending on your qty of luggage and patience, you can use Greyhound.

Can anyone help me understand airports?
I am going to Australia later this month. I am taking a flight from Indianapolis to Minneapolis/St.Paul to LAX to Brisbane. I have never been in an airport, much less a plane before, and I have no idea what I am supposed to do when i get off my flights. I need to know about things such as going through the security gate, finding my terminal/gate, going through customs...etc. Can anyone help me??

There are signs that will direct you to the proper places. When you get to the airport in Indianapolis, you will check in for your flight at the desk of the airline with whom you are traveling. They should give you a boarding pass for all of your flights; if you are switching airlines, they can't always do this, but they can help you take care of it at least. Just ask the person checking you in. They will write your departure gate on your boarding pass - it's typically a letter and a number - such as A13. A is the concourse, 13 is the gate. Follow the airport signs to your concourse. At some point, you will go through security. Make sure you follow the rules regarding carry-on baggage (www.tsa.gov). You'll be asked to take off your shoes as well. When you arrive in Minneapolis/St. Paul, find the nearest electronic board showing departures. Look for the departure gate for your flight to LAX, and head that way. You won't have to go through security again. The signs are pretty clear, so you shouldn't get lost. Same procedure once you land in LAX. You'll have to go through customs when you land in Brisbane. Again, the signs will be clear and it will be obvious where to go - just follow the crowd at that point.

Why are flights to Denver, CO so EXPENSIVE right now
Why are flights to Denver, CO so EXPENSIVE right now?
My family was planning a trip from Illinois to Denver, but recently the flight prices have seemed to shoot up. We've tried looking for flights departing from Indianapolis, Chicago, and St. Louis and they are all about 400 dollars a piece. But the flights seem to get cheaper later in August?? Is there something going on right now in Colorado in these next few weeks that is making flights so expensive???

From the way it sounds, it seems like you are trying to buy a flight that leaves within the next couple weeks. This is when flights are becoming full and there is more demand than there is supply, and ticket pricess tend to rise. It has nothing to do with the destination, but just waiting too long to buy the ticket. For the cheapest prices, book your flight AT LEAST 2 months in advance.
2 :
This is how it works: The airline will take all the seats and divide them into "fare buckets". So maybe 30 seats will be in a bucket and they will sell them dirt cheap as long as they are bought x days in advance. The next bucket, maybe 30 seats, is more expensive but they allow flexibility, you can change date. The next bucket, maybe 30 seats, is even more expensive but can be purchased up to the departure date and allow changes. This is a great simplification but basically what the airline will do. They can of course every day change the buckets and transfer seats between them. You will see this on your ticket as booking class: M, X, Y, O, W or similar. Cheap seats are sold first, and then you can find seats in a more expensive fare bucket.
3 :
It is not just Denver. Airlines deeply discount tickets for a 14-day advance purchase. I suspect that you are trying to make reservations for inside the 14 days. Try using Southwest out of Midway airport in Chicago, or St. Louis or Indianapolis. They have a different pricing structure. Decide what days you can all go, and then go to Southwest's website and make your reservations IMMEDIATELY for the time you can all go. Regards, Dan

Well...yes. I own a travel agency...but you have to actually say: What dates of travel (+/- days?), how many people...does the time of day matter? (after 8pm because your still working that day, arrive in the morning because you have a meeting later....back on Sunday by 6pm so you have sleep before work on Monday?!?!?) How many people? non-stop, or change of planes okay? etc etc etc With more info...you can get more help.
2 :
southwest flies nonstop
3 :
Regarding flight, you just missed an awesome promo with expedia. However, you can still save some money with hotels, coupons and what not. You can find hotel deals, free coupons, and a lot more info at http://www.mycheapvegas.com Cheers!
4 :
Jet blue always has deal to Vegas and I saw a 4 day/ 3 night to Las Vegas 99.00
5 :
The earlier you book the cheaper the tickets. There are really only two places to look for tickets, Southwest.com and everywhere else. Southwest is the only place that you can buy their tickets. Everywhere else will have the same prices because airlines do not discount to anyone anymore. Using a site like Expedia, orbits, etc. might save you a bit because they will check prices on mulitiple airlines for the round trip. In other words, you might fly there on United but return on Delta. Be aware of departure and arrival times. If possible, try to get non-stop if possible.

Check Southwest, MidWest, or Alligiant

Good question that you ask; however, there are some basic questions that have not been answered(I am Owner of a Travel Agency): 1-Dates of departure and arrival? 2-How many are going? 3-Do you and any others travelling with you have your passports and other travel documents in order? Minor issues but important because it will simplify your travel plans. Flights from Lagos to Indianapolis are available at this time. For more details, kindly either e-mail me at: indysteve1563@yahoo.com or IM me through Yahoo Messenger.
2 :
I would start by pulling up the Websites of the different airlines and filling in the trip details and they will let you know if and when they have flights there.
3 :
check this website, it will give you by plane car or ship..www.69mena.com
4 :
There is an airline that is fairly cheap. You'd have to catch a flight from Indy to JFK airport though. You can get those pretty cheap though. Just go to http://www.northamericanair.com/ They have flights pretty cheap. It'll take you into Lagos, though. Not sure if that's where you wanted to go. You can also check out the travel sites like Expedia, Cheap tickets, Orbitz, etc... Good luck!

To make a few stops might make it cheaper, first from Indianapolis to London, then Virgin Nigeria to Lagos, and Virgin Nigeria to Abuja. Don't use any other domestic airline in Nigeria though, they are not good quality.

contact the airport in Indy.... http://www.indianapolisairport.com/
2 :
First find out which airline it was. Then you'll be able to search for flights like that. Usually the same flights run every day so if you search one leaving Accra today and arriving tomorrow, it should be the same as yesterday. Chances are it will be arriving soon, if it was an overnight flight.
3 :
Do you know which airline? I know North American air which flies into JFK has tracking online; they depart Accra on Sundays at noon. Not sure about any of the others. There is definately no direct flight to Indianapolis so depends on where the connection is, too. Barb
4 :
Try Flight Arrivals' website. You can search by destination airport (but only within 6hrs of current time) and you can "follow" the flight's progress inbound.

Connecting flight luggage question
Connecting flight luggage question?
I'm travelling from Indianapolis to JFK to Kuwait. I booked my domestic flight from Indianapolis to JFK separately (via Delta) from my JFK to Kuwait flight (via Kuwait Airways). So, my two connecting flights were booked separately and there are from different airlines. My question is -- Will I be able to check-in my luggage at Indianapolis airport directly to Kuwait? I was told that travelling from Terminal 3 to 4 in JFK is a real pain especially since I have two big suitcases. Also, what about luggage allowance? Delta only allows a traveler to check in one baggage free of cost but Kuwait Airways allows two. Will Delta allow me to check in both baggage free of cost since I have international connecting flight?

If you show your itinerary to DL in IND, you **may** be able to check bag thru. You will have to pay for any bag you check on DL--your DL ticket is sold under domestic terms & conditions!
2 :
I don't think you will have any luck at all here. Delta and Kuwait Airlines are not in the same Alliance and they do not code share as far as I can tell. I am certain that Delta are going to charge you for the extra case too. No good news, sorry

Flight to Philadelphia from Indianapolis, IN or maybe Ft. Wayne INT-Jan 16th-18th. Should I book NOW or later?
Last time I drove out-but don't want to track 12 hours - long trip to and back. So going to fly this time-this morning I checked flights and prices were at $199.00 not bad at all-now just checked --late on friday eve and they are UP big time. So should I wait until Monday rolls around to check again and if decent price BUY then-OR should I wait till closer to time. I can't imagine Jan 16-18th are high flying times? are they- so again, wait or book now! friends-got hotel & car-so just need flight. checked priceline & they seem to be the only one that is "cheap" enough-but right now is a bad time to buy ( weekend )- so avoid weekend, wait till the week- also I need it for later in the day-flight like 7pm ish-on friday eve. Getting me into Philadelphia, if non-stop around 10 or so. and no not naming own price b/c then you can't choose your times-any other ?'s let me know. thanks in advance.

3 :
No, those aren't big travel dates, but your departure is less than two weeks away. That's the way pricing goes. Why is the weekend a bad time to buy? That makes no sense.
4 :
On Tuesdays many airlines cut their prices you could also check "last minutes deals" on the airlines website Airfare is one of the few things that doesn't get cheaper the closer you get to the date. So booking now might be your best option. Once you get into the <14 days period its very hard to find cheap airfare

Why is a flight with a connection cheaper than flying directly to the city you are connecting through
Why is a flight with a connection cheaper than flying directly to the city you are connecting through?
For example, on United, a flight from Manchester, NH to Indianapolis through O'Hare is cheaper than flying on the first leg from Manchester, NH to O'Hare. On Southwest, the flight from Manchester to Indianapolis through Midway is again cheaper than flying the first leg to Midway. This doesn't make any sense as the airline is charging you less when they are spending twice as many resources.
Air Travel - 4 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
They are not spending more resources as those planes are making "non-stop" flights to the cities. You are the one spending more resources and time dealing with a connecting flight. So many things can go wrong that would cause you to not make your final destination. The reason why Non-stops are more is because they are premium flights. Almost everyone wants to get there with as little hassle as possible. Well, the passenger will pay more for that. Not as many people want to deal with the possible weather delay/cancellation, lost luggage in the connecting city, mis-connecting because you got to the hub too late, and then waiting on standby if you've missed a flight. For the people who want to deal with that stress, then those are the ones who will ultimately save a lot more money when flying!
2 :
Most airlines use a Hub and Spoke system. The airlines fly from the various cities to and from one or more hub cities. For United, Ohare is a Hub. When they quote you a price from anywhere that is served by the Ohare hub, they are figuring in the cost of flying through the hub. When they sell the seats, they can't sell too many that originate or terminate in the hub or they won't have enough for the other cities. The hub and spoke system is more efficient because it reduces the number of routes they have to operate. Instead of flying between every city and every other city, they only need to fly between every city and the hub and they can fly you from city to hub to city.
3 :
That's not unusual, nor is it illogical. It's simply supply and demand as well as the level of competition. Airfares are not set exclusively by distance as many people seem to think. O'Hare is a hub for United and they have a monopoly on nonstop service from Manchester. (The US Airways flight that shows in schedules is actually a United flight with a duplicate US Airways flight number.) Therefore, they will charge as much as they can because you have to change planes if you don't like the price. Southwest can do the same to Midway. On the other hand, Manchester to Indianapolis has no nonstop service. You must change planes. And, you have a choice of several different airlines so there is competition for your business. United must keep their prices at the same level or lower than their competitors even though they fly you through a more expensive city. If they charged more on the grounds that they "are using more resources", then no one would take their flights. Everyone would switch to other airlines that don't fly through more expensive cities and charge less. I worked in the travel industry for years and saw examples like this all the time.
4 :
While it looks complicated, and actually is. It is really a supply/demand situation. It is more popular to travel to Chicago compared to Indianapolis. So the ticket to Chicago is more expensive. As many airlines use the hub/spoke system, you can certainly "cheat" the system by booking a ticket to Indianapolis but bail out in Chicago. However there are some risks: 1. Flight may be delayed and you risk being rerouted. Remember, the airlines responsibility is to get you to Indianapolis regardless where (and if) you connect. 2. You can't check baggage as they will be tagged Indianapolis.

There are no nonstop flights, so it will depend on where you change planes, and how long you're on the ground for. Rather than relying on someone here to be able to give you a reliable answer, you'll probably be better off looking up the various options for yourself at a site such as orbitz.com, travelocity.com, etc.

You can check http://www.DaileyEscapes.com and select book travel. Their prices are very competitive. I saw prices ranging from $189 to $268 depending on when you leave. The $189 was for travel on 12/22 - 12/31 and the $268 was for travel on 12/23 - 12/30. Good Luck :)
3 :
Look at Spirit Airlines and Northwest to see if you can find anything. You can also try http://www.airfarewatchdog.com

You really need to book it soon, like ASAP. Your best bet is BookMe.com. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites, and save money. Good luck!

There are so many airlines and sites, can anyone help me do better? IT is more than I payed for 2 weeks ago. I think I got flight but it was layover hell both ways.. and 2 nights hotel for $350. Departure City: New York City Destination: Indiana Dates: Fri, Jan 26 to Sun, Jan 28 $248 per person Tip: Reserve now before prices go higher.
2 :
Well, as of today you are looking at the 7 day advance purchase fares. Being a week out, you arent going to get much cheaper for non-stop. Secondly you are booking the two most expensive travel days, Friday and Sunday. Those days usually arent discounted much. On Travelocity you can get Flight and Hotel for $292 if you stay at the Ramada Inn by the Airport Airfare alone is $318 base fare as well on Travelocity before junk fee's if you dont do a package. The only airlines that go non-stop are US Air and Northwest from LaGuardia, Delta from JFK and Continental from Newark. All base fares are $318 for non-stop except for Continental which is substantially more...this is the same on just about every travel site.
3 :
Played arpund with the site I provided and saw a couple flights as low as $238. INCLUDING rent-a-car book quickly though. Good luck and have fun!

What is the age for an introductory flight
What is the age for an introductory flight?
Im 15 and trying to figure out when I can take a discovery flight in Indianapolis, IN. I wanna go sometime in March or May

1 :
No age limit. It's about the money to pay for the flight.
2 :
I think by eight years old, they're mature enough to not touch any controls that they shouldnt be touching. from four to seven, they dont quite understand that yet.
3 :
Fifteen is fine. Have fun! You can't be PIC at 15, but that won't be for a while anyway.
4 :
You can do your introductory flight at what ever age you wish. the only age limits are that you must be 16 to solo and 17 to get first license.
5 :
There is no official minimum age for beginning flight training, but you can not solo until you are 16, you can not get your private pilot certificate until you are 17. My nephew just soloed 2 days after his 16th birthday after 13 hours of instruction in the preceding 2 months - the weather did not cooperate with his plan to solo on the big day!
6 :
There really is no age limit on an introductory flight, it is when ever you want to take one, they are very fun, and maybe the flight instructor will let you fly a little, it is a fun experience.

should I book a hotel or stay up in the Indianapolis airport
should I book a hotel or stay up in the Indianapolis airport ?
I'm an international student of Purdue. I'll arrive in Chicago in the afternoon on Aug 13th and then transfer to another flight to Indianapolis. But I'll arrive in Indianapolis airport at 10:30pm and there are no buses for me to go to Purdue. I had reserved a limo to go there at 6 :30 am on the next day. I wonder that whether I should book a hotel or stay in the airport overnight. Can I offer a cup of coffee and stay in any cafes like Starbucks overnight?

I don't know if you can still change your plans, but Purdue is not much closer to Indianapolis than it is to Chicago and Express Air Coach runs a shuttle from O'Hare to Purdue. You might be able to go directly from Chicago to Purdue.
2 :
I would get a room but I must say i was at the new airport last year and it is gorgeous and there is plenty of space and cafes there if you prefer to stay there
3 :
If you are willing to save money, you can hang out at the airport, but it's not a nice experience as you get really bored and tired ... eventually You can check here for hotels, from USD 70 http://hotels.justcheaphotel.com/City.aspx?languageCode=EN&fileName=Indianapolis&pageIndex=0&tabId=Details&rateTabId=rateViewSimple&sort=Distance-asc&locationId=250¤cyCode=AUD&Adults=1&Rooms=1&lowRate=20&highRate=220&chainGroup=&chain=&chainGroupSwitch=0&open=1

Typically, according to the link below, the cheapest available fares from IND are to cities fairly close by, such as Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh. Airline prices are constantly changing, though, so it's best to double-check for your particular dates and cities, because prices may even change faster than links can be updated.
2 :
It varies since different airlines may have promotions to different cities. My guess is Chicago since I think Southwest, United and American all offer non-stop flights to that city.

From Indianapolis to Denver or to Denver from Indianapolis. Please add: How many passengers Travel Dates Origin Airport Destination Airport Send me an email. I will find a cheap flight.
2 :
check http://flyairfares.com for the prices
3 :
Try http://www.orbitz.com/. That will list multiple airlines for those destinations with their respective fares. Also book in advance as much as possible as pricing usually goes up closer to flight date.
4 :
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
5 :
I would see how much tickets are on Southwest Airlines or United Airlines. See if Frontier flies to Denver out of Indianapolis because they are having a fare sale right now.

How long is a flight from Indianapolis, Indiana to Omaha, Nebraska
How long is a flight from Indianapolis, Indiana to Omaha, Nebraska?
I might be flying out to Omaha from Indiana to visit family there. I'm just curious because it will be my first time flying alone (i'm only a teenager) so I wanted a heads up on it.

Do you have your tickets? They will have departure and arrival times on them. If not, are you flying directly or do you have a layover somewhere because that will make a difference. In any event, bring a book or some music so you're not bored. I can't imagine the flight would be that long. NYC to St. Louis is right around 2 hours, so it's got to be less than that if it's a direct flight. I started flying when I was 8, so don't worry about it.
2 :
If you were flying direct, it would be just over 1 hour. Unfortunately, there are no scheduled nonstop flights between Indy and Omaha. You'll have to change planes somewhere (most likely Chicago or maybe St. Louis), and that changes the amount of time it'll take to get there.
3 :
Not too long of a flight, just under two hours... A direct flight is approx. 1 Hrs 59 Min

Hi, Alex. There are no nonstop flights from here (I'm in Indy, too) to Cairns. So you'd have to stop in at least one airport, probably 2. The amount of time you're traveling would therefore depend on where you stop, and how long you have to wait in between flights. So, one set of flights to get you there could take longer than another. To find out some real examples, just go to a site like orbitz.com or expedia.com, or to an airline's website, and search for tickets. It will tell you the flight time before it asks for a credit card number, so once you see the flight time you can just leave the website without buying anything.

Hi. Well. It really ranges from 23h 40m to Sydney. And up to 28h even 32h depending on Airlines, and stopovers as all Transpacific airlines fly from either LA or SF (most commonly). So added on top you have to add the 3h 10m to Cairns (on Qantas). So all up, 26h 50m (without Sydney layover to Cairns) will be the quickest. Going to Europe and then across will be even slower. :)

Hi there, According to the AMADEUS booking system, to which I have access, there are no direct flights. The fewest number of changes that you can get is 3, which you can get by taking Continental. 1. Take the flight from Indianapolis to George Bush Intercontinental 2. Then connect with the flight to Guam 3. Once in Guam, connect with yet another Continental flight to Cairns Total journey time (including stopovers): 26 hours 25 minutes Hope this helped, JPJ

When I went from Indy to Orlando it was enough time to watch harold and kumar.
2 :
it sounds cheaper to take a plane
3 :
it would take just about 3 and a half hours or so give or take about 15 mins
4 :
If you flew Northwest Airlines, It takes 4 hours and 36 minutes non-stop from Indianapolis(IND) to Seattle(SEA). You can also book it with Midwest for the same flight and it will be operated by Northwest. It is NWA flight 301. And it depends on when you fly for the price. But, leaving at the end of July it is about $250 roundtrip, leaving next week its about $650 roundtrip. Have a safe flight!
5 :
yes he's right about the northwest flight. but it does depend on when you fly
6 :
If you were to get a direct flight it would be approx. 4 Hrs 41 Min. You can get flight times for airports all over the world at http://www.jets.com/ as well as information about chartering an aircraft.
