can i get into airport lounges for a domestic connection for an international flight

can i get into airport lounges for a domestic connection for an international flight?
i'm flying first class on northwest airlines, and when flying home, i'm flying from taipei -> tokyo -> detroit -> indianapolis. am i allowed to get into the airport lounge at detroit even though its a domestic flight?

Yes. The lounges are there to make money and serve you. They don't know or care about your flight details. They do care about your behavior, that you are of legal age, and about getting paid.

If all your flights are on Northwest or a partner airline you should have lounge access before each flight. It shouldn't matter whether it's a domestic or an international flight as long as you're flying 1st class all the way. That's one of the perks you get when you fly 1st or business class or are a very frequent flyer.
