yea im 17 and ive flown to all kinds of places. If you need assistance be sure to either ask workers in the airport or simply read the signs. The airport is not as intimidating as it looks. good luck!

If you're applying for a college in Indianapolis, you can usually apply either online or by mail. If you want to check out the campus, then that's perfectly understandable. Anyway, a 17-year-old can fly alone. Some airlines include 17-year-olds in their "unaccompanied minor" services, but they're an additional cost. These services usually do include an assistant to help you. Honestly, airports are pretty easy. The signs are easy to follow. Here's the typical process: 1. First, you need to make sure that you have your boarding pass. There are a variety of ways to get it. Some airlines let you check in online the day before, and you can print out your boarding pass then. You can also check in at the airport, either at a desk or with an electronic kiosk. Bring your ID and confirmation number. 2. When driving into the airport, follow the signs to the terminal for your airline. 3. At the terminal, find the departures monitor and see what gate your flight is located at. 4. Next, you need to pass through security. You are typically allowed one personal bag (like a purse or backpack) and one regular bag (small suitcase) for carry-on. During screening, you must empty your pockets and take off anything metallic. Laptops must be screened separate from everything else. Liquids and gels must be 3.4 ounces or less, and must all be in 1 quart-sized plastic bag. 5. After you pass through security, head to your gate and wait for your flight!
