Going to Vegas Aug. 2nd thru 7th? need help

Going to Vegas Aug. 2nd thru 7th? need help?
I've searched high and low for cheap flights, hotels, packages - everything. Hotel doesn't seem too bad by book separately, but anyone know of cheap flights right now from Indianapolis to Vegas. I'm driving myself crazy with searching. Thanks for the help!

I found Northwest at $243 RT per person http://www.nwa.com also found Southwest at $ 229.20 RT per person with this being nonstop both ways. http://www.southwest.com These are great prices and they aren't going to go any lower. You have to book immediately to get these low prices. Northwest has only a few seat left. Southwest goes fast so hurry.

The best way to get a great deal is to book them separately. For flights, check sites like Southwest airlines or US Airways. Also do a search on kayak engine. It will check all airlines going to Vegas and all major travel sites and return the cheapest fare. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/cheap-flights.php For hotels, book directly from the hotels using their discount promo codes to get the maximum discounts. Here are a few codes. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/special.php

Name your own price at priceline.com website. Name something like 25% cheaper midweek. Weekends/Holidays Expensive! $$$$ I got airfare from Seattle to Las Vegas for $99.00 major airline carrier! (midweek) Weds/Thurs timeline. (48 hours) I was looking for apt. and work! Got the apt, still missing the job! Ouch!

I just booked aug. 1-4, got flight, hotel, plus 2 cirdesol tickets for $366 person..try looking at bookit and travelocity .com

Check out these awesome hotel promotional codes on http://vegasmadeeasy.com/plan-your-stay/hotel-deals for some great money saving deals. Flights are typically cheaper when booked by themselves. Have Fun

Congratulations on picking potentially the hottest week of the year... no joke... but anyways. Finding discount airfare is not easy.. In fact you might not find it unless you are willing to fly at really bad hours or make a lot of layovers. This is a reprint of an article published by CNN Money on "5 Ways to Fly Cheaper" http://www.kidsinvegas.com/airlines-flights/80-5-ways-to-fly-cheaper.html It offers some very sound advice. Have a fun trip, bring loose comfortable clothing, sunblock, sunglasses, and really comfortable walking shoes.

Best time to buy cheap airfare to Disney World in September

Best time to buy cheap airfare to Disney World in September?
We will be going to Walt Disney World in September. I haven't bought the airline tickets yet. The fares are still a bit too high (Indianapolis to Orlando) so I have been waiting for a lower price. How much longer should I wait? When is the most economical time to buy a low-cost airfare ticket for September flights? Thanks! Sounds good! The only thing is that my dates are fixed: Leave September 13th, Return September 19th. I know those days of the week aren't ideal, but those are the days I have to travel, unfortunately.

It will probably keep going up. If your trip includes Labor Day, then you will be paying more than if you go other times in September. See http://www.travelbargainsites.com for a list of cheap travel sites. Once you find the lowest going rate, you can haggle it down through Priceline or Hotwire.

$138 + $27 taxes & fees = $165 per person Price Assurance Northwest Airlines Depart: 8:15am Arrive: 10:30am Indianapolis, IN (IND) Orlando, FL (MCO) Non-stop Economy 2hr 15min Boeing Douglas DC-9 Northwest Airlines Depart: 11:50am Arrive: 2:11pm Orlando, FL (MCO) Indianapolis, IN (IND) Non-stop Economy 2hr 21min Boeing Douglas DC-9

If you can time it right, it would be cheapest to fly Southwest. We are not accepting reservations for September yet, but when we open the schedule for your dates, you can probably get a "Web Special" fare which usually varies between $79 and $100 dollars per person. The schedule will open up for those dates on June 26...I would check then!

With the rising cost of fuel, the sooner the better. But they'll probably be at their cheapest as long as there are no holidays right around the time you are searching. I was looking for airfare as soon as flights were available, and i found a nonstop flight for my dad, Newark to Orlando and it was Continental for $200 total! Too bad he didnt grab it, he thought he had time, so he waited like a month and ended up paying $300 something. So the sooner the better. In my case, i'm Indianapolis to ORL like you and it was always expensive! The best deal i got was $450 per person but then when i bought it it didnt go through, on cheaptickets and i called them and they said it was because the airline was charging more, so it was close to $500 per person, atleast non stop, but that was as the price as soon as any flights were available. Good luck.

you really need to buy them now. first of all the rates will continue to go up until the gas prices come down and that is not happening any time soon. i am going to disney december 27th to january 2nd and i have already purchased my airfare. secondly seats for orlando fill up fast. and usually just small planes with 2 seats the isle and 2 more seats. trying to get seats too close to the date you are leaveing would be a big mistake. you wouldn't want to forefit you trip because you couldn't get a flight. i urge you not to wait.

I just wrote about this on my blog today (http://www.beechin.com/personal-finance/4-ways-to-find-cheap-airfare-on-flights/). As a quick summary: 1. kayak.com or farecast.com (farecast will give you recommendation of "buy" or "wait" based on historical data 2. off peak dates (tuesday and wednesday) 3. buy during the cheapest TIME of day (early in the morning + 5 PM) 4. look for a package deal (with rental car + hotel)

Amtrak is the national train service, but there are no stations in Des Moines: http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/HomePage Greyhound is the largest bus carrier in the States: http://www.greyhound.com/home.asp I would recommend flying into Iowa. As there are no direct flights from India to Iowa you will need to connect through a larger airport (New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc.), but that will be the fastest way to travel and shouldn't add too much onto your flight. Where you connect will depend on where you will be flying out of in India, and what airline you will be flying, and what airports in the United States they fly to. This is the link to the Des Moines airport, that should help you pick your connecting cities if you choose to go that route: http://www.dsmairport.com/

You should fly into Chicago. I believe that is the closest international airport and it's only about 5 hours from Des Moines.
3 :
Go to www.aa.com, they have a daily non stop leaving Delhi around midnight and arriving Chicago early in the morning. The equipment is a 777 so it is a very comfortable plane for such a long flight. Give yourself about 2-3 hours layover in Chicago to clear customs and change concourses if needed. You can then catch a flight to Des Moines. It should take just over an hour gate to gate from ORD to Des Moines. Also, you should contact AA at 800-421-0600 for information on their platinum challenge. Basically it will allow you to become a platinum member and have an excellent chance for Business class upgrades on subsequent flights to India all free of charge.

Hi, here is the website for the des moines international airport, you will have a couple stops but you can come straight in to des moines. http: //www.dsmairport.com/ you can book off the website with the various airline links too good luck Greyhound Bus Lines (515) 243-1773 1107 Keosauqua Way, Des Moines, IA 1.12 mi Map | Directions | Send to Phone | Save to Collection ...Provides bus transportation to most cities across the United States... more www.greyhound.com/ using burlington trailways and I find them fairly cheap if you schedule out a week or more ahead

Can someone give me a general description of Greater Cincinnati, please

Can someone give me a general description of Greater Cincinnati, please?
I am trying to decide between Indianapolis and Cincinnati to live. My impression of Indianapolis is that it is mostly flat, and open, with a fair amount of trees. My impression of Cincy is that it is hilly, wooded, and given the terran, it is probably more conjested, and has a less open geographical feel about it. I haven't been to either city. I will initially fly into Indy and drive to Cincy. The cost of a flight to Cincy (from Denver) is about triple what it cost to fly into Indy. Thanks for your time.

sorry nobody has yet to answer. I don't know if you are wanting to live in Cincinnati or the Greater Cincinnati area. But here's my experience: For me, Indy was always fun to visit but I was always dying to get back home. I was borne and raised in West Chester, OH about 30 minutes north of Downtown Cincinnati. The things about Cincinnati is there is SO much to do and see and you have access to things you just don't have in other cities. Now having said that West Chester was perfect because you have access to all those places and experiences but you don't have to deal with the congestion and hassle of the actual city because you are far enough out to have the option of quiet of you'd like As far as the flying, I feel your pain. From personal experience I have found CVG is less expensive to fly out of than it is to fly into, although it is a Delta hub still (for a little while longer) Try flying into DAY (Dayton) which is about 30 minutes north of West Chester, which I already said is 30 minutes north of Cincy. Check out the questions and answers in the Cincinnati category about what there is to do in Cincinnati. There is so much and I have already gone on enough. Have a safe trip and good luck deciding!

flights to cincy as pricey...i usually fly into dayton, not too far and significantly cheaper. cincy is a great town, and you'd be nuts not to at least consider it! it's a beautiful town with lots of history and character. It's no more congested than indy. i'm not a fan of indy, but then again i am biased! check out fairfield, west chester, mason, loveland, etc...they are just outside cincinnati and are great suburban areas. if you're looking to move into the city, check out hyde park, mt. lookout, oakley, mt. adams, etc. google these neighborhoods, you'll be so glad you did!
